To be closer to home, I began working in the Mater Private Cork on the day ward as part of their new graduate program in 2021. I was based mainly on the day surgery ward but had great experience also being exposed to pre op assessment, cardiac inpatient ward and the infusions clinic.
I volunteered as a nurse in Arusha, Tanzania in 2021. I was part of a team administering immunisations to babies, assisting in minor surgery and performing wound care.
On return to Ireland, I started my career as a GP nurse. I currently have 3 years of practice nursing experience. I enjoy getting to know each of the patient’s at Glanmire Medical Centre and hope to continue to build on the relationships I have made.
