Appointments are generally required. If you have an urgent concern, please contact reception and explain your situation so we can advise you appropriately. 

We’re happy to welcome new patients, though our availability can vary. Please get in touch with reception to check if we’re currently accepting new patients and to discuss registration.

It is the responsibility of all patients to keep their scheduled appointments and to arrive on time. If you no longer need your appointment, please cancel it in advance. Call our reception on 0214821280

Inform the surgery as soon as possible so the appointment can be made available to another patient. 

A doctor is always on hand for emergencies during surgery hours. In case of an emergency, call the mobile number 0868395790 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

If the surgery is closed, you can reach our Out of Hours service, SOUTHDOC, by calling 1850 335 999. For an ambulance, dial 112 or 999.

Repeat prescriptions should be requested through the centre's usual prescription request process. Please allow sufficient time for your request to be processed. 

Dr. Grufferty is no longer working under a GMS contract but still practices at Glanmire Medical Centre and is available for private consultations. The centre is still accepting new Medical Card (GMS) patients, subject to availability. For more details or to register with a GMS doctor, please contact reception.

Yes, where appropriate, you may bring a family member, carer or support person with you. If you have any particular requirements, please let reception know when booking. 

Yes. Glanmire Medical Centre is home to a range of healthcare professionals and services, all conveniently located under one roof.
